Dôlafon Summer Festival 2026

As part of our summer learning chapter of ‘creativity’, the children transferred and applied their skills and knowledge to plan, organise and carry out their very own community festival!

The festival began with a samba parade, building on our music skills and knowledge from the ‘Stick 2’ workshop. Learners then used their leadership, creativity and communication skills to led their own stalls. We had mocktail making, hook the duck, guess the drink, lucky dip, handmade scrunchies and knitted items and may more. The children also requested a water fight! This was certainly the four purposes of curriculum for wales coming to life through purposeful and authentic experiences!

A huge thank you to one of our parents for providing live singing and entertainment. Megan has recently stared on channel 4’s ‘The Piano’ and we were very lucky to have her perform for us at the festival.

The children, staff, parents and community did an amazing job and raised just under £500 for our school! Diolch yn fawr for supporting us and being part of our ‘Un Teulu Mawr.’
